Dylan's Helmet

Sorry for the lack of posts. We have been so busy over the last three weeks the time has flown by. Mollie and her girlfriends took a trip to Colorado for a girls weekend the first week in March. Then it was my turn to head west to Keystone, Colorado to snowboard in the Rockies. The day I left Dylan came down a slight ear infection and the doctor put him on some antibiotics. But the fun does not stop there. Last Wednesday Dylan got his helmet!!! This is no ordinary helmet but one that will help correct the flat spot on his head. It was made specifically for him. They had to mold his head using plaster so the helmet fits him perfectly.

Under the weather

This weekend Mollie and I decided to stay around the house. I tried my hand at a pasta dinner on Friday night. We had Gnocchi, a potato pasta with a mushroom sauce. Mollie and I both thought it turned out pretty well. On Saturday I got in a 7 mile run, Mollie and Rosie went to a gardening seminar and Dylan hung out with a new babysitter (Kayla). Saturday night we had dinner with some friends and enjoyed a hockey game.

Sunday morning when Dylan woke up his eyes were stuck shut with "eye boogers". YES he has conjunctivitis otherwise known as pink eye. We took him to the doctor and we got some drops that he really hates, and hopefully it will be cleared up by tomorrow.

Dylan Cheers on the Vikings

This last weekend Joel and Sabrina came over to watch the Vikes with Dylan and me. While the boys cheered on the Vikes Sabrina had fun with Dylan's new toy:)

Trip to the North Shore

The Newman family went to the North Shore this weekend. Grandma Trixie and Grandpa Bob watched Dylan while Nikki, Mollie, Dave and Ryan skied and snowboarded at Lutsen. The skiing was good even thought the temp was slightly above 0. Nikki tried to master snowboarding while Dave had fun with his short skiis. Mollie skied and had a couple wipe outs, she is fine - no broken bones or bruises. Our condo at Bluefin Bay was right on the water so we could listen to waves crash all night and enjoy a beautiful sunrise each morning. We took full advantage of the hot tub afte skiing and one night we hit the ice rink where Nikki showed off her goalie skills. We had great food and Ryan was the Tripoley winner (it's a card game). It ranks as one of the top Newman vacations!!!

Christmas Weekend

We had a wonderful Christmas with our families this year. On Thursday night (Christmas eve) we spent the evening with Mollie's family. It was so much fun to watch Kyrsten and Jenna rip open gifts complete with a Tank for Jenna and pink radio for Kyrsten. On Friday (Christmas) we had a wonderful lunch at Mollie's uncle Rick's house with more of the family and then hit the road to Eagan to spend time with Ryan's family. Of course we came home with more than we took which included homemade salsa, marmalade, soup, and pickles. Nikki has enough photo artwork to start a "Bob Newman" original gallery.

What a wonderful time with the Family!!!
