Dylan's Helmet

We took Dylan in for another visit to the plastic surgeon and he would like to see another month or two of Dylan in the helmet. I guess the Dr. wants the perfectly round head. Oh well, it does not seem to phase him one bit (see picture from daycare below). Mollie and I are sort of glad he is wearing it because he is rolling across the floor and learning to crawl, there have been many head bumps so far in the learning process.

Mothers Day

We had a great weekend. We met some friends in the little town of Sobieski, MN and had dinner and beers at a Herbies. It was a fun night.

Saturday we slept in!!! Dylan decided not to get up at his usual 645 am so we took advantage of a couple extra hours of sleep. Mollie went to the play "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" with her girlfriends and then out for dinner and dessert. She said they had a great time.

Sunday started with a brunch at the Blue Heron with Mollie's family for Mothers Day. Then we bought a tree for our yard. It is a Lilac tree. Dylan had a grand time at Huls Nursery riding on the wagon with Mollie's new sand cherry bush.

We have two robin nests in our yard, one in the front tree and one under the deck. I was able to snap a photo through the deck boards without getting attacked by mama robin. The nest in the front still has eggs and, if you can make them out, the one under the deck has three baby robins. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY, Mrs. Robin!

Sweet potatoes, Jumping and Yard Work

On Sunday Mollie, Dylan and I did some much needed yard work before enjoying dinner with her parents.
We also went to visit some friends that are getting ready for a garage sale and they let us borrow a new toy for Dylan. The Jumperoo is by far D's favorite toy.

On Wednesday night D had his first taste of sweet potatoes and he loved them!!!! Since then he also tried carrots and loved them too.

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. On Saturday Mollie, Dylan, Joel and I went for a jog around Sartell. Mollie and Dylan finished a good 5 miles and Joel and I went on for 3 more. After the run I picked up Dylan's grandpa Barney and we worked in our yard for the remainder of the day. It feels good to get the yard and flower gardens ready for the spring growth. On Easter the Easter bunny came and delivered a giant chocolate bunny. I think Mollie has her eye on it since D isn't quite ready for chocolate yet. After church we enjoyed the rest of the day at Dylan's uncle Ben and aunt Crystal's. We washed the Honda and put ads on Car Soup and Craig's list hoping it will sell soon.

Last week Dylan started eating Rice cereal and he really seems to like it between screams for a bottle.

Ready for a cool Saturday run.

Dylan's Helmet

Sorry for the lack of posts. We have been so busy over the last three weeks the time has flown by. Mollie and her girlfriends took a trip to Colorado for a girls weekend the first week in March. Then it was my turn to head west to Keystone, Colorado to snowboard in the Rockies. The day I left Dylan came down a slight ear infection and the doctor put him on some antibiotics. But the fun does not stop there. Last Wednesday Dylan got his helmet!!! This is no ordinary helmet but one that will help correct the flat spot on his head. It was made specifically for him. They had to mold his head using plaster so the helmet fits him perfectly.

Under the weather

This weekend Mollie and I decided to stay around the house. I tried my hand at a pasta dinner on Friday night. We had Gnocchi, a potato pasta with a mushroom sauce. Mollie and I both thought it turned out pretty well. On Saturday I got in a 7 mile run, Mollie and Rosie went to a gardening seminar and Dylan hung out with a new babysitter (Kayla). Saturday night we had dinner with some friends and enjoyed a hockey game.

Sunday morning when Dylan woke up his eyes were stuck shut with "eye boogers". YES he has conjunctivitis otherwise known as pink eye. We took him to the doctor and we got some drops that he really hates, and hopefully it will be cleared up by tomorrow.
